Haliastur sphenurus
I did not expect, in Japan, to see so much wildlife just outside the cities. So much that, over the countryside, medium or large birds of prey fly very often, even at low altitude, and cut the sky with a reassuring calm.
This, perhaps, is a whistling kite: There are five or six of them gliding in front of the balcony of the house in the morning and at sunset time.
