The first light
Speaking of bicycles: this photo is from the woods I rode through to get to the gallery. We started early (I wasn't alone), but not too early. We climbed up surrounded by fog, which then vanished in an instant when the sun illuminated it and pronounced its magic formula: "Get lost!".
There is one thing about cycling that always amazes me: the right speed. On foot I am too slow. In a car, too fast, I miss the beauty. And then there are the windows that act as a barrier to what's outside. On the bike, on the other hand, I could say, I go at nature's pace. I notice how cold it is, just before the sun rises. I know how exposed the mountainside I am cycling is. I enter the fog and I can count how many times it happens, to come out, again, into the sky of five minutes earlier.
There is no filter, on the bike, there is no separation from what is around.
