Fishing lights at the port of Hakodate
For the first few weeks I did not see the sea. Tokyo, for example, stands on the sea, but you can't feel it. It is a fascinating sea, by the way, which the city is rapidly occupying. But you have to see it, the sea, in Tokyo, otherwise it may not even be there.
Then, when I looked out, on the coast, I saw the ocean, the Pacific.
And when it gets dark, in the ocean, just below the horizon, very bright lights come on, that you can tell something is happening over there.
What happens is that they turn on the fishing lamps and go fishing.
