It may be that yesterday we were at the Sumida Hokusai Museum, and there was an exhibition on the impact of the Big Wave, and inside this exhibition there was some works made with Lego bricks; it may be that we ended up in a tourist office asking for information and there was a model of that area of Tokyo all made of tiny wooden blocks. It may be that the houses are small, separate, and don't lean against each other as they do in Europe: each one you could pick up and move, with one of those big trucks with many wheels, like they do in America, which once, I read, even moved a post office.
This is how things unwind and hook up, like houses lined up along a river.
