Something was going to happen up there

A few days ago I was looking at clouds that looked-I realize the cliché, but so be it-creamy. They looked still, like something out of an animated film that had been paused.

And it occurred to me at one point that they looked so solid, so bulky and confident, so much so that I thought it would be nice to be able to lay a nice rug over them and lie down. I also thought it would be good to have an umbrella and two deck chairs: above the clouds there is always sunshine.

And 50 SPF sunscreen anyway.
