Tirana

In Tirana there is no light twice a day. There are neighbourhoods in Tirana that look like they have been through a war. Only there was no war in Tirana. In Tirana I saw used shoes being sold at the market. Everyone, in Tirana, plugs into the electricity grid illegally. Everyone places the generator three metres from their shop. Thus they delude themselves that all that roaring of engines - and smoke - in the street does not affect them. In Tirana, but also around it, there are more bars than in Italy. There are more people in the bars. All day long.

In Tirana, but also around, there is a lot of work to be done.
